The Zapier integration lets you connect Asistian to more than 5,000 apps and automate workflows between them without writing any code. You build “Zaps” — automated workflows with a trigger and one or more actions — so that events in Asistian can kick off tasks in your other tools, and vice versa. This is useful for syncing contacts, logging conversations, sending follow-up emails, or updating records in your CRM automatically.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:
  • An active Zapier account at zapier.com
  • An Asistian account on the Growth or Scale plan

Connect Asistian to Zapier

1

Open Zapier and create a new Zap

Log in to Zapier and click Create Zap.
2

Search for Asistian

In the trigger or action search bar, type Asistian and select it from the results.
3

Authenticate your Asistian account

When prompted, connect your Asistian account. Zapier will ask for your API credentials, which you can find in Settings > Integrations inside Asistian.
4

Choose a trigger or action

Select the event in Asistian that should start your Zap, or the action Asistian should perform when a trigger fires in another app.
5

Map your data fields

Configure the data you want to pass between Asistian and your other app. Use Zapier’s field mapping to match fields from the trigger to your action.
6

Turn on your Zap

Test the Zap to confirm everything works, then switch it on.

Example Zap ideas

Here are a few workflows you can build with Asistian and Zapier:
  • New conversation → add a row to Google Sheets — log every new conversation that starts in Asistian into a tracking spreadsheet automatically.
  • New contact → create a deal in your CRM — when a new contact appears in Asistian, create a matching deal or lead record in HubSpot, Pipedrive, or another CRM.
  • Appointment booked → send a confirmation email — trigger a confirmation email through Gmail or Mailchimp whenever a customer books an appointment through Asistian.
  • Message received → post a Slack notification — alert your team in a Slack channel when a message arrives in a specific Asistian inbox.
Use Zapier’s built-in Filter step to make a Zap run only when specific conditions are met — for example, only trigger when a conversation comes from a particular inbox or when a contact has a certain tag. This keeps your automations precise and avoids unnecessary actions.
